The feature was created using existing spatial data layer namely:TribalCouncilAreas.shp sourced from the Demarcation Board. The features did not included all the traditional councils wihtin the Eastern Cape. The 2nd source of data parent farm boundaries, Surveyor General, 2021. This layer provided the surveyed boundaries of the original adminstrative areas, for the former Transkei and some parts of the former Ciskei. The inputs of the parent farms, where merged into a Traditional Council Area. Additional attribute information included the region or the main kingdom, and the districts. The 3rd data input was a map derived from (De Beer, 1988,pg 6 -7) which provided a map of the former Ciskeis, traditional council areas. This map was georeference and digitized to create many traditional council areas in the former Ciskei. The spatial data layer was created to assist with the administration and support of Traditional Councils in the Eastern Cape by COGTA.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV> Fish,A,2021.
